Halloween at Chippokes

Come enjoy a spooktacular Halloween weekend at Chippokes Plantation State Park. Saturday October 26, 2019 1pm-2pm | Gone Batty | Discover the world of bats and make a craft. Meet at the Visitor Center. 1pm-5pm | Mansion Tours | Tour our stunning antebellum mansion, built in 1854. Meet on the back porch of the mansion. Last tour begins at 4:15 pm. 3pm-4pm | Slimy Science | Learn about what animals make slime and why at the Farm and Forestry Museum. 6pm-7pm | Youth and Pet Costume Contest | Youth up to 12 years in age are invited to dress up in their favorite costume and gather together. A panel of judges will be on hand to select the best costume. Meet in front of Bathhouse A at 6pm for the costume contest. 6pm- 7pm | Campsite Trick-Or-Treating | Trick-or-Treating is open to the general public and the parking fee will be waived for those wishing to participate. Camper with the best decorated campsite wins two free nights camping at a Virginia State Park. 8pm-9pm | Candlelight Mansion Tours | Join us to tour our Jones-Stewart Mansion by candlelight. See the mansion in the same light has the people who lived in it. Meet us on the back porch of the Jones-Stewart Mansion.
