Historic Garden Week at Chippokes

Enjoy the spring blossoms at Chippokes Plantation State Park. Stroll around 6 acres of gardens planted by former owner Evelyn Stewart and take a tour of our antebellum mansion. The mansion gardens are open to the public from dawn to dusk, visit them at your leisure. Jones-Stewart Mansion Tours will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Meet on the back porch. Hearth Cooking Demonstrations will be on April 22 and April 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. See how much work went into preparing a meal in the 1800's. Meet in the Brick Kitchen next to the Jones-Stewart Mansion. Join the Friends of Chippokes outside the Mansion to enjoy a cup of tea on April 29 from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
