Ian Burgett's Thanksgiving Day 5K and 1 mile Fun Run

The event is a celebration of Ian’s life, and a chance for people to come together to share memories, hugs and tears.  The event is also the major fund raiser for the Ian Michael Burgett Memorial Scholarship, which is administrated by the non-profit Ian Michael Burgett Memorial Fund, (501(c)( 3) FEIN # 46-5201133), which was established to honor the memory of the amazing young man who touched the hearts of many people in his short time on this earth.  The Fund awards an annual $2,000 scholarship to a local college-bound high school senior, provides matching funds to the Riverside Health System Foundations’ Ian Burgett Healthcare Heroes Scholarship, which was created to honor Ian and his volunteer work with the Riverside Junior Volunteer program, and supports the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, which Ian participated in for many years.
