Symposium: The Early African American Religious Experience

Historic St. Luke?s is proud to welcome Dr. Cassandra Newby-Alexander and Dr. Kay Lewis of Norfolk University as they discuss the religious experience of colonial and early 18th century African Americans.

Itinerary:
11 a.m. ? 12 p.m. Dr. Newby-Alexander, NSU, will present on ?Anglicanism, Race, & Intolerance in Colonial Virginia?
12 ? 1 p.m. Boxed Lunch
1 ? 2 p.m. Dr. Kay Lewis, NSU, will present ?The Children of Africa Have Been Called: The Origin and Early History of the African American Episcopal Church?
